IAC Dimension 4 Workbench Assembly - On the Bench
This video can be seen on the Q Source YouTube Channel.
Hi, I'm Gus. Welcome to another episode of Q Source's "On the Bench" video series. Today, we have a special tutorial prepared by our Eastern Mexico Territory Account Specialist, Omar López.
Recently, Omar assembled a number of IAC's Dimension 4 Workstations, similar to the one you see here. In this tutorial, Omar shares his expertise and tips for a quick, problem-free assembly.
IAC Dimension 4 workstations are fully adjustable for personal comfort and efficiency in an assembly environment. Please be sure when you are un-boxing your workstation that all components are in good condition.
The tools you'll need to assemble you new IAC workbench are:
- An 8" long Philips screw driver
- A 7/16" and 1/2" socket with ratchet or open-end wrench
- A rubber mallet
- And a tape measure
First, place the uprights on the floor to attach the side support brackets.
Measure 1 1/4" lower than the desired working height. Hand-tighten these, for now.
Next, pre-assemble the screws into the accessory brackets. Again, do not tighten these yet.
Place all accessory brackets on the uprights. Be sure that the brackets are at the same height on each upright and tighten.
Then, put the 2 uprights together with the back panel. Do not tighten the back panel until you're sure the side brackets are at the same height.
Place the work surface on the side brackets and verify that the work surface is in contact with both side brackets and the back panel.
Place all screws and tighten the work surface.
Once the surface is secured, tilt the workstation upright and place any accessories, such as a light fixture or tool trolley.
If your unit has a footrest support, add it and adjust the height for the operator who will be using it.
Add the electric channel. Be sure you consider whether any electrical devices will need to be plugged in above or below the work surface.
Finally, make sure all screws are properly tightened.
If you will not use be using the work station immediately, be sure to cover it to prevent any damage.
Remember not to use any abrasive cleaners on your new IAC Dimension 4 workbench, and always lift the unit to move it. Never drag it.
