The AIM Solder 14168 SN100C Glow Core No-Clean Flux Solder Wire is a resin-based flux-cored solder wire designed to offer excellent wetting characteristics and lead-free compatibility. This product is very active and is recommended for fast cycle time soldering. Glow Core flux promotes good thermal transfer, offering better solder penetration into plated through holes or surface-mount interconnections. Glow Core wire produces low-to-medium post-process residues that are electrically safe and do not require cleaning for most applications.

AIM SN100C is a lead-free solder alloy developed by Nihon Superior in Japan that is comprised of tin, copper, and a small amount of nickel. SN100C offers user-friendly properties and has been proven in commercial production for more than six years. The patented addition of nickel imparts to the cost-effective tin-copper eutectic, and the wetting and flow properties make it possible to achieve excellent results in wave soldering at process temperatures comparable with those used with the tin-lead solder it replaces. Performance in wave soldering at least matches that of more expensive silver-containing alloys and the resulting joints are smoother and brighter.
