The Puritan 1806-WCSF Foam Tipped Swab is a non-sterile applicator that has a small foam-over-cotton tip with a wood handle. The tip of this applicator is reticulated 100 PPI open cell polyurethane foam over high quality USP grade cotton, which is carded at Puritan to maintain consistency and has a soft, smooth, lint- and residues-free characterstic. It's bonded securely to a rigid white birch shaft perfect for industrial and critical environments for tasks like applying adhesives or other solutions, removing dirt, contamination, fluxes, or resins, and general cleaning. The 1806-WCSF foam tip applicator can be used with IPA and DI water or dry.

The Foam tip material is a medical-grade polyurethane foam that is produced in a sheet form in a range of porosity.
