The Puritan 25-806 2PD TT Polyester Tipped Applicator is a sterile applicator that has a regular polyester tip with a polystyrene handle. The tip of this applicator is a non-absorbent medical grade synthetic polyester material that contains no fatty acids or latent sugars. It's securelybonded to a semi-flexiblepolystryene handle with an aqueous based adhesive and is perfect for diagnostics, medical, DNA, and forensic environments for task's like diagnostics, cell collection, forensic sampling, testing industrial surfaces, and gynecological screening. The 25-806 2PD TT polyester tip applicator is CE marked for medical use and meets FDA GMP's, ISO 9001:2008, and ISO 13485:2003 standards (certificate of compliance is available with each shipment upon request). It comes packaged in a reclosable dry transport device.

The polyester material is a synthetic spun fiber that is made from a polymer and has been tested and validated for use in specimen collections for applications like microbiology, rapid test diagnostics, and PCR analysis. This material provides excellent collection and release properties and is not absorbent. Puritan purchases only in the finest-grade spun-polyester fiber material in bales and then card it themselves.
