The SCS 770152 Single-Workstation ESD Monitor Universal power Adapter continuously monitors the path-to-ground integrity of one operator and one ESD worksurface, eliminating the need for daily wrist strap testing and record keeping.

The SW Aware Monitor uses vector impedance technology by applying a continuous test voltage of 1.2 volts peak-to-peak at 1 to 2 microamperes to the wrist strap. The test voltage creates a square wave that the monitor circuit compares to established patterns. Impedance Monitoring Technology (IMT) determines if the monitored circuit is complete and the total equivalent DC resistance is within specifications, producing very fast alarm times and minimal false alarms. The operator test range is 500 kilohms to 10 megohms impedance, and the worksurface test limit is 10 megohms (±20%). The 10 mm parking snap installs by unscrewing the 4 mm parking snap using its knurled rim, and the 10 mm operator jack adapter plugs directly into the monitor's operator jack. Test limits are factory configured and cannot be modified. Annual calibration is recommended; use the SCS 770153 Verification Tester for periodic verification every 6 to 12 months.
