The Excelta AC 3-Star Straight Strong Tip w/Medium Point Tweezers are made from carbon steel and have outside finger serrations for better gripping. Carbon steel was the first material used for watch making tweezers and have flame-hardened tips that provide for long life but this material is highly magnetic and has low rust resistance. This material should not be used for autoclave sterilization.
