The Hakko FX-888D Soldering Station (FX888D-23BY) is an inexpensive yet durable temperature adjustable soldering station that provides more power and takes up less bench space than its predecessor, the Hakko 936. This updated and replacement version of the Hakko FX-888 features selectable preset temperatures, password protection, and digital calibration to simplify user setup and operation. It also provides a low temperature alarm, which helps protect against cold solder joints.

The added power of the Hakko FX-888D provides up to a 30% increase in operator productivity due to the increased thermal performance and faster thermal recovery time. Today, workbench space is at a premium, and the Hakko FX-888D uses approximately 35% less surface area compared to the Hakko 936.
