It’s universal in nature so it absorbs basically all fluids (water, petroleum, and chemical-based fluids). The Brady MXU1000 GP "General Purpose" Light Weight Absorbent Pad is dimpled for added durability and reduced linting. It’s also perforated to help reduce waste. This absorbent is recommended for applications (but not limited too) such as industrial settings, machine shops, refineries, paper mills, transportation maintenance, steel manufacturing, or anywhere there is a leak, spill or drip.
