What is a static shielding bag? A static shielding bag or anti-static bag prevents penetration from electrostatic charge and discharge. Commonly referred to as an ESD bag or static bag they are designed to provide a safe packaging and environment for electrostatic sensitive devices or components.

SCS metalized electronic static bags are made from a metalized polyester film and low charging polyethylene laminate. This construction provides the static bag with a single layer that creates a faraday cage protecting the ESD sensitive items within the electronic static bag safe from damage. All SCS ESD Static Shielding Bags have a discharge shielding capability of less than 10nJ.
